>I don't doubt it will work... it just won't be very efficient. Please refrain from this sort of commentary if you're not going to provide details and examples about what you mean. I haven't found 9.1 any less "efficient" (whatever that is) on the stock 2400; the trimmed 9.1 uses about the same amount of memory as a similarly trimmed 8.6 did, and it's neither slower nor faster. It is however somewhat more stable, and there are a few nice perks (modeless noncritical alert dialogs, for instance). There's an ongoing religious war on this list about the "ideal" system for the 2400, and snide comments like yours above do nothing to clear things up. Are you perhaps talking specifically about your 320MHz card? As this was a reply, it's not clear.
>I have interware/400 and I run 9.1 without any problem except the crash on >sleep which persists since 9.0(when you sleep by closing the lid >everything is fine, but when you sleep by hitting the powerkey and then >select sleep the system dies in sleep). I haven't bother installing 9.2 >yet, anyone have? Interesting (and weird), now there's a concrete report (though I assume Interware-specific). Have you been able to pin this down to any specific 9.x components, Energy Saver say? I have put a modified 9.2.1 on a spare partition, but haven't tried it out much yet and also have no G3 card. Regardless, it seems unlikely it'd fix your problem. Now the TAM I'm typing this on - there's a machine that doesn't like OS 9.x (particularly the TV/FM tuner and audio subsystem). In fact it's probably happiest with 8.5.1 if one doesn't need Carbonlib 1.3 or higher. -- Marc Sira | [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you can't play with words, what good are they? ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
