I'm not really sure what's going on with this one, but I'll describe the symptoms. My 280c will only start up when it's on my lap (and even then it's still fickle). Any place else- a table, on my bed, etc, there's nothing. When it's not working, the hard drive doesn't spin up, so I get the flashing question mark. I'm guessing the hard drive is either on its last legs, or perhaps there's a loose connector in there. If I started it up on my lap, then put it down, the hard drive stops spinning.
Also, if anyone could tell me what size the torx screws are that hold the Duo together, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Eddie ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
