I've run 9.04 and then 9.1 on a second partitition on my 2400c for about a year without a single problem freeze, crash or problem. I installed 9.04 when I installed the new 20GB hard drive and upgraded to 9.1 sometime last spring. I have used 9xx for the web, itools, mp3's, word processing etc. I use RamDoubler 9 and have not had any memory problems. While iDisk is sometimes slow I have not noticed a speed problem. 9.1 seems to be faster than 9.04. However, I have not run a speed test.
I use 8.6 on my main partition and have had a lot more freezes and crashes with it. However, I run a lot of stuff on 8.6 that I do not run on 9.1. Perhaps this is only an argument for a clean install on a clean partitition and keeping a lot of junk off the drive. I'm pleased with 9.1. PB 2400c/G3/80MB/20GB/CardBus.
