Hey there. I just joined the list because I'm trying to install a hard
drive on my Powerbook Duo 2300, but have encountered a small problem...

So far I have taken the thing apart up to the point that the only thing
left between me and the hard drive is the lower right corner of the top
casing right over the hard drive, which is being very stubborn. The
instructions I followed suggested that, after the snap in the lower
right corner of the duo (where the battery usually is) was undone, it
the top should slide towards you, dislodging itself from a set of four
latches reputed to be to on the right inner wall of the duo's case. But
the instructions were written for a Duo 210, and apparently, in the
2300c, no such latches exist.

I've tried pushing and pulling it in every way I could think of, but am
extremely hesitant to be very forceful for fear I will break something,
and duo parts these days are very hard to find for cheap.

So, has anyone else installed a hard drive on their trusty old Duo
2300c? Does anyone know how to do this without breaking anything?
