These information was mentioned on this list about a week ago, under the tread topic "duo with the lid off?" It started out with someone asking if you can use the Duo Dock without the lid. While it can be done, and the trackball (trackpad) and keyboard can be used, the screen by default stays off while in the Duo Dock. I've thought about poking around to find out if there's a pin that gets grounded or held high in Duo Docks that does not happen with any other mini docks.
