Second call for help !
As a newcomer to the elegant and friendly world of the PB 2400 (I used a 2300 before
but needed a machine capable of video presentations) I encountered a serious problem
just three days after buying a used 2400/180: When reconnecting the PB to the mains
adapter the machine shut down and since then refused to recognize the battery any
more, but still works okay on the mains adapter. I tried all the usual PM reset stuff
without any success. As I know by now, the battery itself is okay and I probably have
a
mainboard problem as the battery works fine in another 2400 whereas another battery as
well is not recognized.

Is there anybody out there having an idea for a do-it-yourself diagnosis or fix ?
Thanks in advance from rainy and cold Germany
