>Has anyone tried to use Virtual PC and Windows 95 on a Powerbook 2400c?...
Have run SoftWindows 95 by Insignia on a Duo 2300 100mHz 56meg ram. It was very slow. Did run. Would only recommend it as a desparate way to operate one or two PC programs. Insignia dropped this line of work, so you might pickup a cheap copy somewhere. Over a direct ethernet connection, I found it much better to use VNC, a free, Timbuktu / PC Anywhere style program. PC had to have VNC server software installed (not too difficult). Citrix works fine, but requires a serious piece of work setting up a "Metaframe" Citrix server. Recommended solution for a group of users who need intermittent access to a PC. Agree with Ralph Mawyer: Virtual PC 4.0.x needs a G3 and more than 300mHz. Would describe Windows 98 as sluggish, but workable on at 400mHz. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
