Using your old Mac as a router is a bad idea. When you can find dedicated routers complete with two ethernet ports for as low as $30*, it makes no sense at all (economic, performance, or otherwise) to use a dedicated Mac. You can use that IIsi as a nifty web server.
I am using a LCIII+ with Webstar. It can saturate my DSL line! Uh, to keep things on topic, your 2400 will make a very fine server when you replace it with the iceBook. Mike Friese * A router I bought for $30 was the D-Link DI-704, a total piece of $#|+. It came equipped from the factory with a ROM version that did not allow you to log on as administrator. When you can't log on, you can't even flash to a higher version. Once a got a replacement with a newer rom, I found the throughput was only about 250 Kbps, not very useful for DSL.
