Thanks, Jon. I'm familiar with  download.com. But as you may know, the
2300 is a somewhat peculiar beast, running an early PPC without some
of the latter-day [HW] improvements that make it more programmer-friendly?,
faster, and [my inference] a bit more stable.

Therefore I'm specifically looking for a converter that someone KNOWS runs
on a 2300, not just a 'generic' list of [supposedly] mac-specific MP3 
converters.
