Hello all,

I just received a Duo 280c from eBay. I previously had a 2300c and
upgraded to a PowerBook G3. It's huge, though, so I picked up a Duo for
high-portability.

The only problem is that whenever I put in the battery (Type III), the
machine works four about ten seconds, then shuts down with no warning.
Is that a sign of a bad battery? The machine doesn't work at all when
only on the battery, and shuts down when running off the AC adapter (my
G3 yo-uo) upon battery insertion. It works great with no battery
installed.

Thanks for any advice.
