I checked the adapter on eBay that Eric mentioned but
found it had 30 pins on the dock end and I need
something with 20. The mini-Dock has only two ports. 
One is ADB for the keyboard and the other works with
the floppy drive.  I assumed (never assume) that the
CD-ROM would work off that port. Looks like I probably
need a mini-dock with an additional SCSI port.  Thanks
all for the help
