Thanks everyone for the advice.

I got the 2400 with a lot of other stuff, so I am not into it deep, so I'll
go ahead and get it all together, if it works well I'll keep it, but I can
get my bucks out if necessary. I bought a big HD and enough RAM to fill it,
but I'm going to let MCE put it all together.

My daughter just bought a new 14"  iBook, and it is really sweet. When she
upgrades in a few years I'll likely end up with that machine!

Meanwhile, I like the idea of a big screen book for use while sitting in my
lazy boy (while watching TV!), but a smaller one (the 2400c) for note
taking and writing away from my favorite chair.

I could live without the 7300 in my office, but it is cheap and it serves
all sorts of useful functions.
