Count me in!  I'd pay up to $500.00.  If possible, get them to use the 755
instead of the 750.  The
  755 is a drop-in replacement for the  750 processor and is footprint and
user software code compatible
with the 7400 (G4) processor with AltiVec at 40% less power consumtion
providing they go with motorola chips.
The IBM PPC line doesn't have a competing product except the 750 with .22um
process which consumes about 20% less power at 500MHz.  They'll also have to
come up with additional circuitry to boost the system bus clock prior to it
getting to the CPU because I don't think anyone makes a 750 (or 7xx for that
matter) which exceeds the 10x multiplier ratio.  I think sonnet's already
done that with the pb1400 upgrade.
