Morning all from a rainy English day - perfect for trying to make
hardware play nice.

Have just got hold of a Newer FirewireToGo PCMCIA. Accompanying spiel
seems to suggest that I won't be able to get this working on PowerPC
hardware below G3.

2400c/180 (cardbus enabled)
FireWire 2 Go Enabler v1.0.1
LaCie FireWire Support v6.4.4

Before I make a present of it to another, thought I'd just touch base
with the list.

Any workarounds or external gadgets, or is this something
intrinsically hardware dependant?

While I'm at it, see there to also be a G3 limitation on Toast (Lite
5.0.2). Installer doesn't even complete and instead quits with no
explanation.

Going hunting online now, but maybe someone knows something.

Regards,

Marc
