The several-hundred dollar price difference usually helps :) As far as flexibility, you mean the PCMCIA? I honestly can't see many things you can do on a 2400 that you can't on an iBook. Actually, I'm really curious... guys? Aqua >> Aqua, My uses for the 2400's PCMCIA slots: Someone mentioned Compact flash cards (I can download my Nikon CoolPix files to my 2400 in seconds). High-quality audio (I use a VXPocket PCMCIA card. Don't tell me about USB audio. And nobody makes a reasonably-sized portable Firewire audio interface. Yet.) Oh, yeah, I do have a USB card... and a 56K modem... and 100baseT ethernet...So none of these things in a iBook would get my anything new. About the ONLY thing I don't have on my 2400 is OS X. And THAT, my friends, will be the straw that eventually breaks this lovely compact camel's back. Because we use OS X on my main computer and my wife's, and we love it. Give me an iBook with PCMCIA and I'm there. David Reaves ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
