John, I live in Japan and you can find almost any part for the 2400c at any time on the Yahoo! Japan internet auction. Any type of plastic parts, internal electronics and also upgrades such as cpu's and memory. In this case I got the ribbon assy (11S83H5031Z1M3XJ446794) which runs from the motherboard through to the screen for Jpy Yen 3,000-. Installing involves taking it apart as far as the keyboard then the PC card button PCB. Took me about 30 minutes in all. Best, Julian. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
