<sigh> I am a new Linux convert thanks to an install of YDL 2.1 on my 6360, and RedHat 7.0 on my AMD box.... I am TRYING to put a Linux on my stock Comet and have struck out in the following ways. YDL gives me an error shortly after attempting to write the packages to disk using the installer. However, I have gotten the basic system installed without any sort of Xserver or XWindows system on there. I get the same error attempting an install to my PowerCenter clone. Both the Comet and PComputing Mac are not on the Officially Supported Macs list at YDL....The 6360 is. You say that YDL works? Linux PPC 2000 just sorta stops in the middle of the installation process and that's it. Debian installs, but will not see my video configs in order to run X. It's also the LEAST friendly of the distros that I have seen and I cannot configure it! MKLinux does not seem to be Comet compatible due to IDE drive. I have gotten all distros from burning an ISO image in Toast 5.0 (can 4 do ISO images? It seems more stable). Please help! Scott ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
