If you are talking about internet speed through typical home broadband, no, a 100baseT will not help. If you are talking file to file transfers withing a LAN, maybe. The firmware in the GV Platinum Pro can only be upgraded for the modem side. If you are using the Japanese version if this card, the modem firmware is not upgradable either.
