I remember there being some discussion some months back about an
applescript to automatically eject a card bus card before shutdown to
keep "bad things" from happening, but I don't recall what they were. My
2400 was not card bus activated. Well that all changed last night when
in a wild moment of free spirited carelessness, I opened the 2400 up,
plugged in my soldering iron, popped out the keyboard and used the iron
to detach one end of each of the 2 small yellow wires from the mother
board that supposedly disable the cardbus and smack me in the face!!....
the firewire 2go card appeared on the desktop!!!
I down loaded some video from my DV Camera, made an imovie, plugged
in my Que!Fire CD burner. And declared the operation a success... I
restarted 2400 with the 2Go card still in and it hung up until I pulled
the card out. No Problem, I just need to _remember_ to pull it out when
I shut down or restart.(remember being the key word here) About the
third time I forgot to pull the @#*! card out I remembered about the
AppleScript... Is there any kind soul out there who could refresh my
memory or lead me in the right direction?? I'd like to try my Road
Rocket out, but I hear that Really Really bad things happen if that is
left in when you shutdown.
Thaanks,
Willie
