Adaptec's page on this card says one can hot-swap scsi devices connected to it safely without restarting, and appears to also say that the card even provides better scsi-1 and scsi-2 rates than a P'Book's regular SCSI port can. Can this be so?
<http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/techspecs.html?prodkey=APD-1480&c at=%2fProduct%2fAPD-1480&fromarea=prod> I'm interested in it for my cardbus-enabled Comet, to avoid having to carry around and use an L-shaped HDI-30 adapter and cable or, even worse, a full-fledged HDI-30 scsi cable with its bulky straight connector, to hook up my portable CD-ROM player or even a ZIP drive to the Comet.
