Last week, I got a used Pismo off of eBay, and, Last Monday I got said Pismo in the mail ... It couldn't be avoided any longer ... my little 2400 wasn't able to keep up with my portable computing needs.
Needless to say, 15 minutes after the Pismo arrived, my 2400 had a temper-tantrum and is now stuck in a GLOD. (Just like my Duo did when I got my 2400) I just had to replace my now dead G3 upgrade with the original 603e card to get things going again. My 2400 will stick around, and I'll probably keep it ready to go as a backup. The Pismo is big, awkward, heavy and fragile. But it can run OS X natively and has a 5+ hour battery life. Something that only my 2400, with it almost dead battery that last 45 minutes, can only dream of. After a few days, the Pismo has grown on me, and I don't detest it as much as I originally did, put I still miss my 2400 ... I tried as hard as i could to keep using my 2400, but the rest of the world caught up with it and passed it by. D'oh! My 2400 provided me with a year and a half of (semi)reliable service. I'll sever sell it or get rid of it.
