Hi folks,

I've been using a 2400 for probably five years. It's most recent
configuration is with a Newer G3 card, 80 megs of ram and a 12gig hard drive.
A plucky little machine, however it recently ceased powering up. I sent it to
a repair person who tried a few quick fixes (?),which didn't help, but did
not go so far as to actually determine the source of the problem. While open
I had him remove the hard drive and reassemble the machine so I could use the
setup and data on the drive immediately.

I figured I'd part the 2400 out and buy an iBook or T'book. Though I'm likely
to get one of the new books soon, I'm finding it hard to give up on the 2400.
I'd love to keep it running though most would consider further time and money
to be a waste of time. Any thoughts or recommendations from any of you
listers are welcome.

Please also contact me if you're interested in the parts as I may not find a
reasonable way of saving this machine. It has a fine screen and keyboard and
the following cards: 56k Global village modem; Asante ethernet card; Macally
USB card; Lucent Wireless card. All the cards are in good working order.
