List,
My 2400 is being really absurd right now. When plugged into the power
adapter, things have been behaving erratically. For instance, if I have the
machine plugged in, the screen will flicker (brighter/darker) and then the
computer thinks its running off of battery. It will cycle back and forth
between the two for awhile and then settle down. If I touch the end of the
adapter that connects into the 2400, the same behavior will occur. Most
recently, the power adapter is not recognized at all. It's a yo-yo style
adapter, like with the Pismos, and claims to have been manufactured in 1999.
Could there be something the matter with it? Is it the PowerBook? Hardware
or software? Most importantly, what will it cost? Thanks. I really need a
quick reply.
Nick
