Right, I see what you mean...  So what you're saying is that you have the
floppy attached to the minidock and when you mate the 2300c to the minidock,
the floppy works just fine.  You then immediately swap out the 2300c for the
280c and now the floppy suddenly acts wierd.  Correct??

Is there anything about the 280c that would hold the machine/minidock combo
at a slightly different angle?  On my 280c, I've got that Type 4 battery
sticking out a bit farther, so the whole thing is at a slightly different
angle than when my daughter's 280c (or the other one's 230) are mated to the
minidock.  Also, anytime I swap Duos in the minidock, I'm VERY careful to
reseat all the connectors on the back.  After all, the only connector more
potentially problematic than the floppy one is the SCSI one.

Since the 280c+floppy microdock thing works, it can't be a software problem
on the 280c, AND it can't be the edge connector on the back of the Duo.
