I've been using a slim, external NiMH "Portable Power Pack" made by LIND 
Electronics. Looks about twice the length/width of the one you've 
referenced above. It's Model APP-240 but LIND has gotten out of the 
battery business so it's discontinued. Output power is 24vdc at a max of 
2.0 amps, according to the label. Over 4 hours of judiciously used power, 
IIRC. They show up used on eBay from time to time.

If weight/portability is not such a problem, BESCOR makes chunky little 
sealed lead-acid 12v battery packs for camcorders and the like. I got 
mine from B&H PHOTO, and it's seen me through quite a number of 
uncomfortably long power outages when I had to keep on working. But I 
wouldn't carry it around.
