Well, I had the correct cables for SCSI disk mode, and they all hooked together. I just copied my backup files from the 6100 back to the duo. Now I have a "best OS question for a duo 2300" that mirrors the recent discussion on the powerbooks list about OS for a 540c. Right now I have a cobbled together system with extensions and control panels from OS 8.5 and the 7.5.2 boot disk.I could try for a full installation of 8.1, but is it worth it? Or can I stay with 7.5? I like the speed and smaller footprint of that OS, but I realize find that I'm missing some resources such as "draglib" and "objectsupportlib". When I've tried some applications such as SoundAPP or Program switcher I'm told that I'm missing one or the other of those files. Ideally I want to use the Duo for three major functions: word processing with Clarisworks and Filemaker Pro, (seems ok), email with Eudora (definitely some problems with missing pieces (OT/PPP?), and possibly playing MP3's with SoundAPP. Scott, you talked about add-ons for a duo 280c in the powerbook list. What else am I missing with 7.5.2 as my base? I have 20 mg RAM on the 2300. Frank C. Modica 501 E.
