Hello all, I'm also on the iBook list, but today my Sister called me up. Her friends Brother has just upgraded to a new computer, and has given away his old one. It turns out to be a Powerbook 230 (or maybe a 210, I haven't seen it yet), complete with a duo dock. Apparently its bundled with loads of floppy disks and cables, books etc.
My Sister says a lot of the stuff is still shrink wrapped, and the Powerbook itself appears to have had very little use, though the guy said something along the lines of; "the transformer is busted". I've never used any Mac other than an iBook and an iMac. I understand that the duo can do plenty of things. Am I right in understanding that it can be maxed out to 34Mb ram, Mac OS7.6.1 and can have a modem attached? I don't where whether the dock is a duo dock 1 or duo dock 2. Well, thanks anyway. Just thought I'd say hello. :) Matt ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
