I changed the bus speed on a 3400 from the standard 40 MHz to 50 MHz
without any problem, replacing the standard surface mount type crystal
with a small crystal (in can, with long wire leads) I got from Digikey
(not surface mount but I don't recall the case style name).

I and other on the list have also changed the 4 legged oscillator chip
on the duo with a similar type bought from Digikey. I don't know what
the 2400 uses, individual crystal or oscillator I.C. but Digikey has both.
