I used SCSI Disk Mode to successfully connect my 6100 (OS 8.1) to my duo after I reinitialized the duo hard drive and used the skeletal OS in a boot floppy as my base operating system. However, once I installed 7.6.1 on the duo I have had no luck with the SCSI connection. The duo seems fine (SCSI icon floating across the screen), but the 6100 coughs up the following error message midway through loading the extensions: System Error-Illegal operation "". I've rebooted with an 8.1 installation disk while the duo is in SCSI mode, but the duo hard drives don't show up on the desktop of the 6100.
I want to install OT/PPP and Open Transport on the duo for email and light browsing with Wannabe. I had 8.5.1 on the Duo but like 7.6.1. I could also install 8.1 but I only have 20 mb of RAM and would rather use an OS with a smaller footprint. If necessary could I install OT/PPP on the desktop and use floppies to transfer the program pieces to the duo? I have a floppy and an mini-dock. Frank Modica Prairie School 2102 E.
