I have been trying one out and there are problems. In both 9.1 and 8.6 
machines, the presence of a properly formatted Toshiba card in any pc 
slot results in a significant time lag within Finder operations (e.g., 
doubleclick, drag&drop, etc) whether or not the card is actually being 
used. Doesn't matter if I start up from the card (has 8.6 installed) or 
the regular HD. I spoke with Toshiba tech support and they were clueless 
except to guess that there must be some kind of incompatibility with the 
Mac's PCMCIA Controller, and to say they have no plans to look into this.
