I have a Duo 2300c running OS 8.1in a Dock with an Diamond Supra 56k external modem. It dials up and connects to the ISP but the browsers cannot load any web pages (display message "Attempt to load page http://www.xxxx.xxx failed"). It is the same with e-mail (Claris E-Mailer Lite 1.1v4); the program does not seem to understand that the computer is in fact connected to the Internet.
I cannot figure out the problem. The Remote Access, TCP/IP and Modem Control Panels all look OK. I do notice that Internet Config does not appear in the Extensions Manager even though it is installed and appears in the Extensions folder of the System Folder. I would appreciate any suggestions.
