My Wife's little 2400c, SULU (so named by a previous owner), finally suffered a GLOD attack so serious that, with a birthday impending, I decided it was time to retire SULU and buy her a new iBook.
What's for Sale: PowerBook 2400c, except for some scratches on lid near hinges, good condition. Screen is bright, no dead pixels. Still seriously GLODded, so will likely need new power board or repairs. +NewerTech 240MHz G3 Upgrade CPU Card +original 180MHz 603e CPU card +64 Memory module (80 MB total) +4.5 GB drive (IBM, I believe...about 2 1/2 yrs old) +floppy drive/cable +2 batteries, one near-dead, one about 18 mos. old, 60-70 minute capacity. +Panasonic 4x portable SCSI CD-ROM drive w/AC adaptor - looking for SCSI cable. +ZIP drive, with AC and SCSI cables and a bunch of cartridges (10-15). NO POWER SUPPLY (original died, and I'm keeping the replacement flying-saucer as a spare for my WallStreet) Machine was sent to DTT almost 2 years ago for power board repair to fix previous GLOD episode...ran reliably up until a few weeks ago. Currently the machine is disassembled, as I went in to try swapping the original CPU card as part of my troubleshooting, and when that failed, retrieved the hard drive so I could copy its contents to the new iBook. Currently has OS 8.6 installed - I will likely erase all other data and non-Apple software. Please make me offers on any parts or the whole kit'n'kaboodle. (PLEASE RESPOND TO MY EMAIL ADDRESS, NOT THE LIST!) I won't be doing anything with it until I return home from a road trip around June 20th. I may put parts or the whole up on ebay at that time, but I thought I'd give the list a shot at it first. Thank you!
