Well, since things are slow here, thought I'd ask for some OT guidance. I'm running a pure stock load of OS 8.6 and IE 5.1 and Saturday's release of 5.1.5. I've got three minor, but irritating problems with IE's behavior.
1. I don't think it was happening immediately after I reinstalled everything, but in the last month or so I consistently get "Internet Explorer Script Errors" on more and more pages, e.g., http://www.accuweather.com/adcbin/local_radar_mag?nav=home. 2. I also suffer from extensive timeouts with a 'hand' displayed, that usually results from IE trying to load a applet of some type, e.g., .asp. These can take up to 15-30 sec to load or in some cases essentially results in IE refusing to relinquish the desktop, requiring me to Force Quit IE. Both of these seem to happen whether I've got "Enable Java (Apple MJR)" checked or not. 3. Inability to upload messages to a web based message board, but apparently only occurs with IE for Mac. Netscape and Mozilla work fine. http://casitaclub.com/thread_view.cfm?Thread=1337 Your "No Value In Image" is a result of the browser including the variable in submission even when it has no value. Also, it is giving it a value other than "NULL" or "", which then causes the error message (looking for something that isn't there). I'll see if I can find a workaround on my side, but this is definitely a browser issue, as much as "posting with webtv" is a browser issue. Something obvious here on any of these items? Mozilla and Netscape seem to work OK(gee, maybe some of the code is the same), but has other problems. Trim your reply accordingly, thanks....
