I bought the card from Otherworld. It said cardbus-Mac compatible, but at the time I didn't know OS requirements called for OS9.2.x. This OS is not supported on the 2400, unless you try jumping through the hoops detailed on http://www.OS9forever.com/ -which I did. I got 9.2.2 running, tried a variety of different firewire drivers, patches (it does not come with software, all to no avail. Icould not test it with a HD, just with my Sony camcorder, and I was never able to capture video, and the computer crashed hard. Finally decided this duck wasn't ever gonna fly and I need to get some work done, bought the Ratoc on ebay for $30.
Fortunately I was able to sell it on a local newsgroup, the guy came over with his xp'd laptop and a dv cam and was actually capturing video in my doorway in about 2 minutes. > I am interested, why? ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
