Most of what you're describing is a feature of the GNUtella network, so using a different client won't really help (Limewire is actually a decent client, but the OS 8-9 Java implementation makes it a dog). There's still a real shortage of Mac clients for other p2p filesharing networks at the moment, particularly for the 2400 and 2300 since much of what's appearing is OS 10 only. However, iSwipe does look interesting and currently has versions for both Mac OSes. It also searches more than one type of server network so you may find you can limit your GNUtella issues. Same idea as Sherlock, really. http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=12135&db=mac btw for some of the other responders: the thing that mainly belongs off the list is sanctimonious, noninformative responses to perfectly reasonable queries. -- Marc Sira | [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you can't play with words, what good are they? ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
