Hi again to all.

Thanks for the help so far. I now have both the 2400c
and the Apple TAM (via Farallon's PCI adapter for the
wireless PC card) linked to a new snow base station.
They are all configured and I am able to get onto the
internet via the base station modem (high-speed
internet is my next move). No WEP since the new base
station is 128b encryption and the cards are only 40b
which, I've read tonight on the web, is fairly "weak".
I did note, however, when I was reconfiguring at 128b
to run with my iBook that there is an option when
re-enabling it to turn on at 40 bits or 128bits...I
haven't tried it yet but this may meen that I can
still run WEP with the farallon cards as long as I
choose the lower encrytion complexity. I'll try
tomorrow and post results.

Does this seem like old hat to everyone? I know that
I'm into this a little late and with some older
equipment, but believe it or not I think it's more
challanging to keep legacy equipment running as long
as possible. The 2400c and TAM are both unique enough
that I doubt I would ever get rid of them, therefor a
little bit more $ to bring them up to speed seems
extravagant but worth it.

Now I wish I keep the threads on adapting osX to the
2400c!

Paul
