There might be a way, but I'm sketchy on if it would work. There are
some USB 802.11b (read airport) boxes out there that hook up via USB. I
know I've seen some usb -> serial adapters. If there was one from
serial -> USB then you could hook up one of the USB 802 boxes.

But if you do go with 802.11b it's only specked for 150 feet. But you
can extend this with a directional antenna. There are a bunch of
websites on how to build one - even out of a pringles can!

Hey here's another idea - if you get a basestation hook that up to the
Duo via a modem in the duo as the destination where the duo is basically
the provider and then airport to the iMac that could work very well
(just plug a phone cable between the two and tell them to ignore the
dial tone and telnet between them. You'd be reduced to 56K speeds, but
that might not be too bad.

Also, hows the 5300's screen? They have card slots and you should be
able to buy one for about $100 these days. Then you could get a linksys
(or similar) 802.11b card for it.

Well there's some ideas for you - time to Google!
