I have a Duo battery charger (M4178) that hooks up to the AC power adaptor
(M4174). I can't find instructions for charging a battery. When I charged a
battery before, an amber LED came on and changed to green when,
presumably...the battery was fully charged.

What I need to know, is what does the red LED indicate? I bought a battery
via eBay which showed about ten volts on my VOM meter. When I inserted it
into the charger the red LED came on. What condition of the battery does
this indicate? I fear it means the battery is bad and cannot be charged,
but I need to know so that I can arrange to send it back in an appropriate
time frame.

Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks.

Dick
