Ok folks, I posted this some time ago, but no serious responses. So, I'll try again:
Background, my 2400 was run over, and for all practical purposes is not usable. However, the tire just caught the corner of the PB, and while this trashed the LCD, it only resulted in a small (about 1 inch) vertical hairline crack in the case just adjacent to the lcd about an inch from the top edge, as you look at it in the open position. It appears more of a scratch, as it's not broken through. The lower case half was not damaged at all. And is in excellent condition. The machine boots, but will likely need a HD, as it doesn't sound too good. In Feb or Mar I had the logic board repaired by MCE. The machine is a stock 2400c/180 and it has 80 megs of ram. The HD is the original 1 gig unit, and will be wiped clean. Accessories: Two stock AC adapters. Neither of which show any signs of cable wear. They both work fine. Three batteries. Only one is decent, and holds about an hour's charge. The other two are shot as they will only hold 15 or 20 minutes. Original 2400c floppy drive with cable. Works fine. Newertech Bookenz Docking station. Sony portable scsi cd rom. Model # PRD-650. This is a slick little unit as it will run on a 6v ac adapter (included), and internal lithium ion battery, or an external 4 AA batterpack (also included) that connects to the bottom of the unit and utilizes the 6v plug. Two PC cards. One is a megaherts 33.6 modem and the other is a Global Village modem/ethernet combo card. Both work fine. Original software for both. Wetsuit Formfitting briefcase. Original PB 2400c System CD, and I will also include a VPC cd, and an original 8.5 CD. usual cables, HDI-scsi adapter and such and prly a few other things I just can't remember right now. Make me a decent offer. thanks, Mark ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
