Preventive measures go a long way! And that is all a fire wall is. Although nothing is fool proof nor hack proof. No system is 100% secure it's been proved time and time again. Where there is a will there is a way. It's not just Microsoft email programs etc.. it's delusional to says it's just Microsoft or windows. You want secure....... lock your computer in the closet don't hook it to wireless, modems, networks, DSL or anything else, never turn it on and shoot anyone that gets near the closet...OKAY your secure. Private computers are not what most hackers are after they want company's (enterprise level) that's where they hit pay-dirt. Email program are a sad hack, why even bother!!!! Armatures do email hacking. Windows it just easier to hack than Mac OS and more companies run widows, therefore the popularity of hacking a windows systems over a Mac, if Mac OS were the norm the tides would be turned and Mac would be hacked on a regular basis.
