All of this talk about Duo batteries leads me to ask a question about a
battery I gave up for dead.. I think it is a type Uno...
1. When I place the battery in the Duo battery conditioner, I initially get
an amber light... then it turns RED.
2. When the battery is inserted in a Duo, and the duo is plugged into the
wall and started, the Duo shuts down during startup, right after "welcome 2
Macintosh" ; and sometimes it makes the "Chimes of Death" before all of that.
Anf finally,
3. When the Duo is up and running, plugged in w/o the battery, and the
battery is inserted, the [X} readout (on the battery level indicator) turns
into a full battery, but quickly drains out in a matter of 3 seconds(!), and
then the duo shuts off EVEN THOUGH IT IS STILL PLUGGED IN!
...now, all of you Dr. Duos out there... WHAT IS YOUR DIAGNOSIS?!?
".... Give It To Me Straight, Doctor; I CAN TAKE IT!"
