Such a dunce. Booting into X from XPF, installing X on my other 2400/20GB HD, I saw the SCSI symbol moving across the display and knew something was wrong. I'd accidentally set the HDI SCSI/Dock Adapter switch from "SCSI" to "Dock". It boots normally to OS 9 now and nothing seems awry. But when I click XPF Install it boots partway and then stops with a 2 inch band of lines across the middle of the display. I know with the bigger HD the mode it was in was a no-no. But is my 2400 burnt toast now?
