The company management was not blessed with allot of brain power!(Office level) Since it's contract work I cannot make them do anything. I'm sure you have all worked with some fool whom thought they knew more than you and it was all you could do Not tell them to fix the bloody thing yourself if you know so damn much!!! The server's are installed in a storage closet with no venting (Gasp foolish). The server's and monitors are suffering from heat exposure, it was like a sauna in there. They have a little fan in the service hall that blows (barely) air at the closet and call it adequate cooling. The other 2 monitors were crammed into these little boxes (barley fit to give them a built-in look as the manager called it....... why not just call it an oven and be done with it). Closed sides, top and back with a wee hole to run the cords through. Although it looks lovely, it was very hot and dusty when I removed them, no place for heat to vent. This was the 1st time I had serviced this office, my contract is with the Corp. office in Orlando FL. Called Corp. explained what I have found and problems I noticed, corrections that needed to be done with suggestions. Monitors will be delivered tonight, the contractor it there now (I have to go check on him) installing AC vents (4 --- 2 high 1 midway and 1 low) Also enlarging the room (making 2 closets into one larger room) adding a desk, shelves and filtering system as requested. Quite a few other changes being made also. Electrician should be there shortly to install separate circuits for the New server room. I'm off to spend someone else's money, isn't life wonderful!!! :-) (The TT's new when the BMW M3 Convt hit 159,986 miles I got rid of it, hubby was a bit miffed that I didn't want matching Jags but that's just a bit to Hollywood for my tastes)
