Chuck,

The load spikes at 6:00pm? then drops off just before 8:00 and picks up 
again around the posting time (8:34)??

What is that? Pre-slashdot-effect-effect? or do the slash editors 
download and cache every story they edit before they post it? what's up 
here? any ideas?
