Morning from the south of France, this time. 2400 hates the heat, but happy with 1/8th inch damp cloth between it and stone worktops - cools the thing at incredible speed. Try it. Warms the stone nicely too. Not enough breeze to just cool by raising back end as I usually do in cloudy ol' England.
Quandary du jour... Need help with a problem I've never seen before - multiple appearances of a printer in the chooser. Done the usual tinkering (via email comments with him) and am turning to the only techy folk I know - you guys. Getting additional details as we type, but the story so far is... Have a friend in US with G3 powerbook. He moved, changed state, but made no changes to the machine. It's running a pre X OS, 8 or 9, fwiw. Now has multiple appearances of his "deskjet" in the chooser, with additional ones appearing each time he wakes it from sleep. If he instead shuts the machine down, there is only one appearance in the chooser... until awaking from sleep. Along with the multiple appearances, he says printing fails to work after they start to appear, too. Oh, and there's only the one printer extension in the Extensions Folder at any time, including when many appear in the chooser. Any of you seen this before?
