Chris, I tried to get an Epson 1200 USB scanner working through USB for a LONG time, many calls to Epson, Apple and Macally. Received incompatibilities because Epson didn't support the 2400c USB and the MacAlly USB drivers didn't support connection to the scanner. I FINALLY gave up and talked Epson into "swapping" a SCSI 1200S with my 1200 USB scanner based upon the inconsistency with the 2400c "add-on" USB. I've been SCSI scanner capable since.
Sometimes, no matter how much effort you expend, the GREAT little 2400c with all of its capability ends up not being supported and there's nothing that can be done about it - UNLESS YOU'RE Sidney Ho or any of the other guru's on this link....
