This should be filed uner "When you think you've seen it all..."

I have experience a new way for Mac to screw up. When my 280c is out of the
Dock, it behaves rather strangely: I see 6 hard drive icons on the desktop.
This is normally experience when you have 2 or more SCI drives with the same
ID except the 280c has only 1 HD. When I used Get Info on all of them, each
one differs only by SCSI ID. But if I plug in the SCSI minidock, only 1 HD
is seen on the desktop. (This is regardless of any cable or terminator
asttached) When the 280c is in the Dock, I see one plus the dock's internal
HD (ID 2)

I ran a couple disk utilities and ran Disk Warrior. So far only minor
problem (missing files, misallocated disk space) but nothing major. I even
ran Norton Utlities when the 280c is out and showing 6 HDs. NU treated them
all as if I really had 6 HDs plugged in and doesn't see anything wrong.

What the heck is going on? And why would there be 6 HD icons on the desktop
if there's no external SCSI connection? I hope it's not a bad sign as it's
really hard to find 500MB+ SCSI drive.

(PS so far I got only one offer on my 2 Type 3 batteries.)
