Hi Gang,

Need some help. I just acquired a second Duo 280,
very nice, lots of memory, storage, etc. But, unlike
my original, which is equipped with an Express modem,
it's equipped with a Global Village 19.2.

So far, all best efforts to get CompuServe classic
(version 2.4.2) to connect online have been to no
avail. The process stops at: "Connecting to
Compuserve, Initializing Modem." I have the CS modem
selection set at "Global Village Powerport Mercury."

Has anyone had any experience with this setup? Is a
modem driver of some sort required?

Any/all advice appreciated.

Best

Jack C.
