MadDog is on track.  Exchange is straight and easy, the existing video cable 
will plug into the 2300 logic and the latch position is the same (altho the 
unit will be thinner...the color display is a bit thicker than the mono).  
You should get 3+ hours on a new battery w/no backlighting and using the mono 
display.  Unfortunately, I ended up having to switch mine back to color as 
customers liked looking at the pics of machines in color as opposed to 
monochrome.  C'est la vie!
