Dear Gurus,
I know how to do this damn it, I've done it before with a 280c and
a 2300 but after 2 days I am flummoxed and hornswoggled!
I bought an ebay 280 for the B&W screen. When it came it had 8.1 on
it. Internal modem (black jack) worked when I tested it. I popped it in a
minidock, clean installed 7.6.1. I installed FreePPP 2.6.2, express modem
and the 68k OT inits. The damn thing
intializes the modem, dials and then immediately announces that the server
isn't answering. If I try my 56k GV x2, it looks for modem, fails to find
it and freezes.
Will someone please explain just what stupidity I'm committing?
